Justification for Creation

Historically, I used a static HTML system for many projects, including the Dervland home page. However, this would scale poorly as I added more pages.

The usage of a Markdown wiki hopefully will resolve this issue. Additionally, it makes the internal format closer to MediaWiki or plain text, making it suitable for improvements by other users.

Contributing

The source code is available on a self-hosted Forgejo instance; any user can create a new account.

Minecraft Servers

Minecraft Servers by Derv, otherwise known as Dervers, use a Survival map with custom plugins.

Many Dervers have a civilization theme, although this isn't an absolute axiom. However, within the year of 2025, Derv a break from this type of server to return to more experimental servers.

History

Another civilization server known as ScratchCiv collapsed of drama, leaving a void that Derv desired to fill. This rationale lead to Derv hosting Revsca beginning on 2025 July 25th. Similar to most Dervers of the era, it would collapse hastily due to demotivation.

Exaderver

Exaderver is the current Derver, created on 2025 July 4th. It is playable via the following address:

mc.dervland.net

It uses a plugin that disables the End, Nether, and Villagers. More experimental features are planned to be added.

Discord Server

Exaderver uses the Frictionverse Discord server as its community chat.
